About My Work
By critical metaphor analysis of EU policy documents, I unveil that EU policy documents speak of people as if they were functional and of business as if they were sensitive. Part of economic knowledge only makes sense for policy makers, because they live by the entrenched modern conceptual framework, according to which it is not only normal, but optimal, to behave as rational subjects. I draw on Hannah Arendt to call on alternative conceptual frameworks leading to more distributive justice.
