My work bridges a few areas of U.S. law and politics research, including constitutional law and contemporary politics (far-right claims of free speech rights in the context of political violence), as well as my dissertation research examining the roles of neoliberal austerity in federal agencies' rulemaking processes and outcomes. In addition to substantive overlaps, APPEAL's commitments to public-facing work and the work of organizing are especially important draws for me.
